Job summary

King Living is seeking a Design Consultant to join our Newcastle showroom team. You will engage customers face-to-face, guiding them through the purchase journey with design expertise and genuine care, and you will build lasting relationships in a premium retail setting.

You will manage leads, quotes and enquiries, collaborate with the team on campaigns, and maintain King Living brand standards in showroom presentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in consultative sales within a premium, luxury or design-led retail environment.
• Genuine interest in interior design, furniture, materials and the way people live.
• Strong track record of conversion, revenue performance and client relationship development.
• Proactive follow-up discipline — you follow up personally, with genuine value.
• Available to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week.
• Professional presentation aligned with a premium brand environment.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships and deliver a high level of service face to face — guiding customers through their purchasing journey with design expertise and genuine care.
• Follow up on leads, quotes and enquiries to convert opportunities into sales — working collaboratively with the team to maximise performance during campaigns and promotions.
• Maintain showroom presentation to the highest standard in line with Visual Merchandising guidelines — ensuring every area reflects the King Living brand with pride and professionalism.
• Use in-house systems to process and manage sales orders efficiently and accurately.
