Job summary

Omni Recruit is partnering with a beloved Sydney restaurant group to recruit an Assistant Restaurant Manager for their Darling Square flagship. The role oversees floor operations during peak service and supports the Restaurant Manager.

You’ll lead a large front-of-house team, manage rosters, stock, and guest experience, while ensuring food safety and compliance. NSW RSA and First Aid are required; Australian work rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as supervisor/assistant manager in a high-volume venue.
• Energetic, organized and people-focused.
• Proficient with POS, ordering platforms, email and Excel.
• Current NSW RSA and First Aid certificate.
• Full Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Co-piloting the venue with the Restaurant Manager, and leading it when they're off.
• Running the floor through big service peaks with a cool head.
• Rostering, training and developing a large front-of-house team.
• Handling stock, ordering, wastage, cash and reconciliation.
• Owning guest experience, in venue and online.
• Managing bookings, groups and functions.
• Keeping food safety, WHS and compliance tight.

It's high volume, high energy and full of everyone from CBD office crews to Darling Harbour visitors and late-night regulars. We need an Assistant Restaurant Manager who loves a big shift and a full house.
