Job summary

PCYC Queensland Mackay West is seeking a passionate Fun Squad Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in leading the Fun Squad, ensuring operations meet government regulations and the National Quality Framework.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, foster a safe, inclusive culture, and contribute to community wellbeing while supporting daily duties and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in childhood studies with progress toward a Diploma.
• Must hold CHCPRT certificates or equivalent child-protection qualifications.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary Fun Squad team.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation governing Fun Squad operations.
• Working with Children Check/Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
• First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager to lead and manage the service in line with regulations.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to promote the PCYC brand.
• Inspire a safe, inclusive culture and ensure operational compliance.
• Contribute to community impact through engagement and leadership.
• Assist with daily duties and staff development within Fun Squad.

AboutYou

• MinimumCertificate III in childhood studies or other qualificationsrecognised by the regulatory authority AND working towards aDiploma in childhood studies or other qualifications recognisedby the regulatory authority
• Must hold one ofthe following child protection certificates: CHCPRT025 -Identify and report children and young people at risk,CHCPRT026 - Support the rights and safety of children and youngpeople, or CHCECE057 - Use collaborative practices to upholdchild protection principles
• Ability to leadand manage a multidisciplinary Fun Squad team
• Demonstratedknowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing FunSquad operations
• Hold a Workingwith Children Check/Blue Card (or able to obtain)
• Hold a currentFirst Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
