Job summary

Redcape Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Manager for Peden’s Hotel in Cessnock to lead as Manager on Duty, coach staff, and oversee service, liquor, gaming, safety and reporting. You’ll drive guest experience across bistro, bar and accommodation while supporting a growing portfolio of venues.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in pub/hotel settings, strong decision-making, and a proactive, energetic approach to leading teams and delivering great hospitality. NSW RSA/RCG is preferred.

• Confident decision-making with visible floor presence.
• Strong focus on guest experience and service standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead as Manager on Duty, set clear priorities and keep the operation moving

• Identify practical improvements and work with the leadership team to put them into action

Who we’re looking for

• Leadership experience in a pub, hotel, club or similar venue, including coordinating multiple areas during busy service periods

• Confidence making decisions, taking ownership and remaining visible on the floor

• A positive, energetic leader who sets clear expectations, develops people and brings the team with them

• Confidence with venue administration, cash management and reporting

• Current NSW RSA and RCG, with ARCG completed or able to be completed before supervising gaming operations

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster across days, nights, weekends and public holidays
