Job summary

Redcape Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Manager for Peden’s Hotel in Cessnock to lead as Manager on Duty, coach staff, and oversee service, liquor, gaming, safety and reporting. You’ll drive guest experience across bistro, bar and accommodation while supporting a growing portfolio of venues.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in pub/hotel settings, strong decision-making, and a proactive, energetic approach to leading teams and delivering great hospitality. NSW RSA/RCG is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading venues such as pubs, hotels or clubs.
• Confident decision-making with visible floor presence.
• Strong focus on guest experience and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Manager on Duty, set priorities and keep operation moving.
• Coach and develop team members; recognise strong performance.
• Maintain high standards across service, presentation and guest experience.
• Oversee liquor, gaming, safety and operational compliance.
• Support labour management, stock control, cash handling and venue reporting.
• Identify improvements and work with leadership to implement.
