Job summary

Shamrock Hotel Motel in Mackay, part of Redcape Hotel Group, seeks an Assistant Manager to drive guest experiences across a busy regional pub. You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team, with onboarding and structured training across Redcape’s systems.

You’ll lead a venue with a bistro, sports bar, gaming room and on-site accommodation, developing your management skills and contributing to ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Experienced supervisor ready to step up or manager ready for next move.
• RSA and RSG current; RMLV and Approved Manager licence preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to create guest experiences with warm welcomes and attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Coach and support your team to build confidence and performance.
• Handle cash, reconcile and prepare daily reports accurately.
• Take Manager on Duty responsibilities including opening/closing and shift decisions.
• Uphold responsible service, gaming and workplace safety standards.

What you’ll do

• Lead your team to create extraordinary guest experiences, from warm welcomes to the little extras

• Complete cash handling, reconciliation and daily reporting accurately
