Job summary

ALH is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Eureka Hotel in Salisbury, SA to help keep the pub buzzing with friendly, local hospitality and strong service standards. The role offers a base salary of $80,000 plus super, a bonus scheme, and staff discounts across the Endeavour Group.

You’ll lead a team, support the Publican, and help maintain a safe, vibrant, family‑friendly atmosphere. This hands-on position requires physical tasks and experience in bar, bistro or gaming room settings, with RSA,

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality role requiring physical tasks (lift/mix stock)
• Experience supervising or leading a team in bar/bistro settings
• RSA/RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements

Responsibilities

• Get to know the locals and build relationships as the pub face when the boss is away
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and mentor junior team members
• Handle hiccups quickly to prevent issues and maintain service standards
• Bring energy, service, and smiles every shift

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Eureka Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

A Salisbury favorite, The Eureka Tavern is a vibrant community pub featuring a high-volume family bistro, an indoor playground, and a traditional local bar. We’re known for great value, friendly service, and a welcoming, family-first atmosphere.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew


• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe


• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends


• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches


• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising


• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up


• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away


• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badgeas per state requirements
