Job summary

ALH is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Finsbury Hotel, Woodville North, north of Adelaide. Base salary is $80,000 plus super, with a bonus scheme and group-wide discounts. This hands-on role involves lifting and stock movement, and requires RSA, RSG/RCG and RP badges as per state rules.

You will support the Publican, lead a team of hospitality staff, and ensure the venue runs smoothly with great energy and guest service. Training and growth are encouraged within ALH and Endeavour Group.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality role requiring physical tasks and safe lifting.
• RSA/RSG/RCG and RP Badge as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising staff in bar, bistro or gaming room is advantageous.
• Commitment to great service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport with patrons.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Finsbury Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Located on Hanson Road in Woodville North, TheFinsbury Hotelis a long-standing local favourite north of Adelaide. Our vibrant venue features a lively Sports Bar with live sports on big screens and a great range of beverages, alongside modern, affordable accommodation via our on-site Nightcap Hotel. We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere and delivering great service to both locals and travelers.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG/RCG and RP Badge as per state requirements
