Job summary

Willaston Hotel, part of Endeavour Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Adelaide. Base salary is A$80,000 plus super, with a bonus scheme and group-wide discounts. You’ll help run the busy Willaston Hotel—family Bistro, sports bar and outdoor beer garden—while engaging with locals and delivering outstanding hospitality.

In this hands-on role you’ll supervise, learn from the Publican, and lead a team of hospo staff to keep operations running smoothly with a positive vibe.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks (lifting/m moving stock).
• Experience supervising hospitality teams preferred.
• RSA/RSG 1 & 2 and RP Badge as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport as part of the team.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches.
• Bring energy, service, and smiles on every shift.

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Willaston Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

Located on Main North Road in Adelaide's northern suburbs, The Willaston Hotel is a bustling community favourite. The venue features a high-volume Family Bistro with an indoor playground, a relaxed Sports Bar, and a popular outdoor beer garden. It's the go-to spot for family meals, casual drinks, and local catch-ups.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You've got a current RSA, RSG 1 & 2 and RP Badge as per state requirements
