Job summary

ALH Hotels in Adelaide's northern suburbs is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Willaston Hotel to lead a vibrant team and keep the pub buzzing. Base salary $80,000 plus super and a bonus scheme, with group-wide discounts across Endeavour Group brands.

You’ll work hands-on, supervise across bar, bistro and gaming rooms, build rapport with locals, and ensure smooth, safe operations with a great vibe from shift to shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar, bistro or gaming room environments is preferred.
• Supervisory experience or exposure to team leadership is desirable.
• Current RSA and state-required badges are essential.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport as part of the pub team.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches and maintain service standards.
• Bring energy, service and smiles on every shift.

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Willaston Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Located on Main North Road in Adelaide's northern suburbs, The Willaston Hotel is a bustling community favourite. The venue features a high-volume Family Bistro with an indoor playground, a relaxed Sports Bar, and a popular outdoor beer garden. It's the go-to spot for family meals, casual drinks, and local catch-ups.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You've got a current RSA, RSG1 & 2 and RP Badge as per state requirements
