Job summary

Andaz Gold Coast is seeking an Assistant Manager – Engineering to lead maintenance for a pre-opening hotel. You will support daily operations of the Engineering department, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, and oversee contractor management to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires hotel engineering experience, people leadership, strong knowledge of building services and safety standards, and the ability to work across a rotating roster as the team prepares for opening.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager – Engineering to help keep every part of our hotel running beautifully, safely and seamlessly. From guest rooms and public spaces to plant, equipment and essential services, you’ll lead with a hands‑on approach and a sharp eye for detail.

As Assistant Manager – Engineering, you will:

Support the day‑to‑day operation of the Engineering department

Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel

Lead, coach and support our engineering colleagues

Work closely with hotel departments to respond to maintenance needs

Help manage contractors, compliance checks and safety requirements
