Job summary

Andaz Gold Coast is seeking an Assistant Manager – Engineering to support daily hotel operations, maintenance and preventative programs. You will lead the engineering team across shifts, coordinate repairs and contractor activities, and respond to guest requests to ensure smooth, safe and welcoming service.

You will bring proven hotel engineering experience, strong leadership, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

Qualifications

Experience in hotel engineering, facilities or building services.
Experience leading or supervising a team.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and building operations.

Responsibilities

Support the Engineering Manager with daily operations, maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
Lead and guide the Engineering team across shifts.
Coordinate repairs, inspections and contractor activities.
Respond promptly to guest and operational requests.
Monitor building services, plant equipment and hotel systems.
Maintain accurate records, reports and maintenance schedules.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Work closely with every department to keep the hotel running beautifully.
