Camden Hire Pty in Narellan, NSW, is hiring an Assistant Manager to coordinate hire activities and logistics while supporting the Branch/Division Manager. Join a family-owned business with four locations in the Macarthur district and a long-standing presence in the region.

You will help run daily operations, supervise staff, ensure safety and efficiency, and contribute to ongoing training and development within a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Opening / Closing of branches
• Provide customers with an outstanding experience onsite and instore
• Identify equipment hire requirements with accurate advice on timeframes, availability and costs
• Coordinate with branches/divisions to achieve efficient outcomes for customers
• Organise and coordinate transport to meet customer requirements
• Create hire schedules, quotes, bookings and invoicing
• Carry out equipment stock takes
• Manage time to meet operational priorities
• Ensure WHS and safety procedures compliance
• Report to Division and Branch Managers

About the Role

The Assistant Manager's role is to coordinate hire activities, facilitate efficient logistical management of hire equipment bookings, and support the Manager in ensuring smooth running of the Branch/Division.

You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team that values quality workmanship, efficiency, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Opening / Closing of branches
• Provide customers with an outstanding experience onsite and instore
• Supporting customers to identify their equipment hire requirements and providing accurate advice in terms of timeframes, equipment availability, and costs.
• Working collaboratively with their teams and other Branches/Divisions to coordinate efficient outcomes for customers.
• Organise and coordinate transport fulfilling customers requirements
• Creating hire schedules, quotes, bookings and invoicing
• Carry out equipment stock takes
• Manage time effectively to meet operational priorities
• Ensure compliance with WHS and company safety procedures
• Reporting to Division and Branch Managers

What we're looking for

Requirements

• Minimum of C class license and daily commute to work is essential
• Minimum 2 years in a previous managerial role
