Job summary

Rarekind is expanding to Somersby, NSW, seeking a hands-on Hire Centre Manager to lead the new Somersby branch. You will oversee a small team, champion safety, drive continuous improvement, and ensure excellent customer service.

This is a high-impact role with ownership of outcomes in a growing operations environment across lifting and hoisting equipment. You’ll stay on top of maintenance, parts ordering, and equipment availability while mentoring staff and interfacing with sales and the General

Qualifications

• Previous management/supervisory experience in a similar field.
• Clean driving record, MR and forklift licences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, with the occasional Saturday.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance paperwork and ordering spare parts to ensure equipment availability for hire.
• Open/close the centre and coordinate repairs to keep operations efficient.
• Supervise and mentor the hire centre team and provide technical guidance.
• Act as escalation point and collaborate with sales, GM and colleagues.

What you'll be doing:

• You’ll stay on top of the maintenance paperwork, order the spare parts before you run out, and ensure equipment available for hire.
• You’ll open up, lock up, organise any repairs, and ensure optimisation across the centre so it works efficiently.
• Supervise, mentor and provide technical guidance to the hire centre team.
• Act as a technical escalation point, working seamlessly with the sales team, the General Manager and hire centre colleagues.
