Cornerstone Health on the Gold Coast is seeking an Assistant Manager for Our Medical to oversee day-to-day operations, deliver high-quality patient service, and support efficient administrative processes.

You will work with the Practice Manager, mentor front-of-house staff, and help implement new initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration or front-desk leadership.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Medicare processes is advantageous.
• Experience leading administration staff or teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality customer service to patients and support front-of-house operations.
• Complete daily administrative and operational tasks across the medical centre.
• Support the Practice Manager with supervision, training and mentoring of administration staff.
• Act as a role model within the team, promoting professionalism and service excellence.

Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 7am to 10pm, our centres are supported by a diverse team of healthcare professionals, alongside skilled administrative and nursing staff.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Manager to join our team at Our Medical.

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the medical centre, ensuring high-quality patient service and efficient administrative processes. You will work closely with the Practice Manager while also providing guidance and support to the reception and administration team.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while developing your leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to patients and support front-of-house operations
• Complete daily administrative and operational tasks across the medical centre
• Support the Practice Manager with supervision, training and mentoring of administration staff
• Act as a role model within the team, promoting professionalism and service excellence
• Ensure efficient workflows and support implementation of new initiatives and improvements

About You

You are a proactive and service-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You bring strong organisational skills and a collaborative mindset, along with the ability to lead by example.

You will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with Best Practice or similar practice management systems (desirable)
• Sound understanding of Medicare processes
• Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Experience supporting or managing team members
