Job summary

Burson, part of the Bapcor group, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (2IC) for our Labrador branch on the Gold Coast. You’ll assist the Store Manager, lead a high-performing team, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service to trade, workshop and retail customers.

You’ll help with inventory, stock control, and maintain store standards, safety, and compliance. It’s a people-focused role in a supportive team with growth opportunities within the Bapcor network.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment.
• Experience in automotive parts sector preferred.
• Ability to engage and motivate team members.
• Customer focused with strong time management and attention to detail.
• OH&S exposure with solid computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to trade, workshop, and retail customers on automotive parts.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Support sales growth and branch performance outcomes.
• Assist with inventory management and stock control.
• Maintain store presentation standards and safety compliance.
• Support the Store Manager in daily operations and lead the team.

As an Assistant Store Manager (2IC) at Burson, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day success of our Labradorbranch. Supporting the Store Manager, you'll lead from the front, drive sales performance, champion exceptional customer service, and help create a positive, high-performing team culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing expert advice and assistance to trade, workshop, and retail customers on automotive parts and products
• Delivering outstanding customer service while building strong, long-term customer relationships
• Supporting sales growth and branch performance outcomes
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control processes
• Maintaining high store presentation standards and ensuring compliance with company policies and workplace health and safety requirements
• Supporting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the branchLeading, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve their best

Qualifications

• An ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment
• Ideally experience in the automotive parts sector (or related sectors)
• The ability to engage with, and motivate team members
• Customer focused with strong time management abilities & attention to detail
• OH & S experience, with sound administrative skills and solid computer literacy
