Job summary

Burson is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Eltham branch. You will lead daily operations, drive sales, and motivate a diverse team to perform at their best. This hands-on role requires strong customer service, stock control and OH&S compliance to maintain standards.

You’ll support the Store Manager, ensure smooth inventory, and engage with both trade and retail customers while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Handle automotive parts queries from trade and retail customers.
• Provide high level of customer service with emphasis on retention.
• Assist with inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Maintain store standards and comply with OH&S policies.
• Support the Store Manager and lead the team.
• Demonstrate strong time management and attention to detail.
• Current full driver’s license required.

We’re on the lookout for a motivated Assistant Store Manager (2IC) to support our Elthambranch. At Burson, you’re never just a number—you’ll be part of a supportive, close‑knit team working together to connect our people, our customers, and our business every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling automotive parts queries from trade and retail/DIY customers
• Provide a high level of customer service with an emphasis on customer retention & development
• Assisting with inventory control
• Maintaining store standards and adhere to company policies, procedures and OH & S compliance
• Supporting the Store Manager
• Leading and supporting your team

• An ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment
• Ideally experience in the automotive parts sector (or related sectors)
• The ability to engage with, and motivate team members
• Client-driven with strong time management abilities & attention to detail
• OH & S experience, with sound administrative skills and solid computer literacy.
• Current full driver’s license
