Job summary

Burson is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Brunswick branch to lead daily operations, drive sales, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service. You will be a hands-on leader who supports the Store Manager and fosters a collaborative, high-performance store environment.

The role requires experience in automotive parts or related sectors, strong communication, and the ability to manage inventory and OH&S compliance. A current full driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service focused and able to retain customers.
• Experience leading a small team in a retail/parts environment is a plus.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Awareness of OH&S policies and safe work practices.

• Handling automotive parts queries from trade and retail/DIY customers.

We’re on the lookout for a motivated Assistant Store Manager (2IC) to support our Brunswick branch. At Burson, you’re never just a number—you’ll be part of a supportive, close‑knit team working together to connect our people, our customers, and our business every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling automotive parts queries from trade and retail/DIY customers
• Provide a high level of customer service with an emphasis on customer retention & development
• Assisting with inventory control
• Maintaining store standards and adhere to company policies, procedures and OH & S compliance
• Supporting the Store Manager
• Leading and supporting your team
• An ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment
• Ideally experience in the automotive parts sector (or related sectors)
• The ability to engage with, and motivate team members
• Client-driven with strong time management abilities & attention to detail
• OH & S experience, with sound administrative skills and solid computer literacy.
• Current full driver’s license
