Job summary

Stratco (Australia) Pty Limited in South Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing commercial finance team. This role blends accounting, inventory analysis, business partnering and insights to translate numbers into tangible decisions.

You can come from an accounting degree with 2–3 years of experience or be an auditor transitioning to commercial accounting; CA/CPA desirable, ERP experience with Oracle or MYOB will be valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end accounting procedures and report activities
• Support the preparation of monthly profit and loss reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with journal preparation and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting for manufacturing and distribution operations
• Support inventory reporting and stock valuation processes
• Participate in stock takes and cycle count activities
• Work closely with operational teams to improve stock accuracy and reporting processes
