Silk Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support operations at a luxury 5-star hotel in Perth CBD. You will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to drive operational excellence, maintain brand standards and lead a substantial housekeeping team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role is hands-on with daily operations and involvement in workforce planning, team development and quality assurance, contributing to overall departmental performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large housekeeping teams in 4- or 5-star hotels.
• Strong focus on quality standards and guest satisfaction.
• Proven ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public areas.
• Lead, coach and motivate a large housekeeping team to deliver 5-star service.
• Act as department leader when the Executive Housekeeper is absent.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning.
• Conduct inspections to ensure quality and brand compliance.
• Support rostering, workforce planning and payroll processes.
• Investigate and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments.
• Monitor inventory and assist with supplies and equipment orders.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support housekeeping operations at a luxury 5-star hotel in Perth CBD. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a high-performing hotel environment.

Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, maintaining brand standards, and leading a large housekeeping team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

In this role, you will be hands‑on in daily operations while also contributing to workforce planning, team development, quality assurance, and overall departmental performance.

What You'll Do

• Support the day-to-day management of housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public areas
• Lead, coach, and motivate a large housekeeping team to consistently deliver 5-star service standards
• Act as the department leader during the Executive Housekeeper's absence
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning
• Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure quality and brand compliance
• Support rostering, workforce planning, productivity management, and payroll processes
• Investigate and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and equipment

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or senior housekeeping leader within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage large teams
• Proven experience driving housekeeping quality standards and operational performance
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Sound knowledge of housekeeping systems, productivity management, and hotel operations
• A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
