Job summary

Silk Hospitality in Western Australia is seeking motivated Public Area Attendants to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of hotel public spaces. You will play a key role in creating a positive first impression for guests and support the housekeeping team to ensure consistently high standards.

This permanent part-time role offers paid training, onboarding support, and career growth within a national hospitality company.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning or hospitality experience preferred.
• Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week across shifts: Mon–Fri 9:00–15:30, Thu–Sat 16:30–21:00.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Professional presentation and reliable teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas including lobbies, corridors, lifts, entrances, restrooms and guest amenities.
• Ensure all public spaces are presented to the highest cleanliness standards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and housekeeping requests.
• Complete scheduled deep cleaning and project cleaning tasks.
• Assist with stock control and replenishment of cleaning supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and lost property.
• Move furniture and equipment as required.
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

About the Role

As a Public Area Attendant, you will play an important role in creating a positive first impression for hotel guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public spaces throughout the hotel, ensuring all areas meet Silk Hospitality's high standards. This role requires a strong eye for detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering excellent service every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas including lobbies, corridors, lifts, entrances, restrooms and guest amenities
• Ensure all public spaces are presented to the highest cleanliness standards
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and housekeeping requests
• Complete scheduled deep cleaning and project cleaning tasks
