InterContinental 62s Group plc is seeking a Housekeeping Teamleader to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering memorable guest experiences. You will supervise daily operations, inspect rooms, train new staff, and coordinate with other departments to ensure high standards.

The role is physically demanding and requires flexibility across a 7‑day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. We value teamwork, strong English communication, and a commitment to quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning.
• Experience leading or supervising others is highly regarded.
• Confident verbal English with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Physical role requiring standing, bending and lifting up to 23 kg.
• Flexibility to work AM/PM shifts on a 7‑day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Unlimited and unrestricted working rights for Australia.

What is the job?

Do you have energy & exceptional standards? We’re searching for a Housekeeping Teamleader to work alongside our Executive Housekeeper to ensure all aspects of housekeeping are befitting of our reputation for delivering genuinely memorable experiences to our guests. Your day to day:

• Supervising daily operations, including planning and assigning work to others.
• Carrying out “room checks” inspections and following-up concerns directly with the relevant team member regarding areas of improvement.
• Assisting with the onboarding and training of new housekeeping colleagues.
• Communicating to the Executive Housekeeper if we don't have the appropriate tools and equipment to carry out jobs and duties.
• Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Assisting with projects such as deep cleaning and/ or assist housekeeping operations during high volume periods.
• Performing any housekeeping duty as necessary, including making beds, as well as vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure we “work better together” and guest satisfaction.

What we need from you

• Minimum 12 months experience in a hotel or 12 months experience in a commercial cleaning environment
• Experience leading or supervising others is highly regarded
• Confident verbal communication skills in English and an excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload
• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
• Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects.
• You will need to bend and kneel to complete regular tasks.
• Flexibility to work allocated shifts ranging from AM to PM, across a 7-day rotating roster – including during the weekends and public holidays
• Unlimited and unrestricted working rights for Australia.Given this is an ongoing full time role, we cannot accept candidates who have working hour limitations (eg student visa) or candidates who need to gain avisa for working in Australia.
