Job summary

The Y Australia is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA Wavell Heights Outside School Hours Care in Queensland. This permanent part-time role supports the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, leads programming and guides a passionate team to deliver safe, fun care for children.

You will engage with families and the local community, maintain compliance and help with staffing needs, contributing to a nurturing, inclusive environment for all children.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or currently studying).
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Wavell Heights Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
