Job summary

The Y Queensland is seeking an capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Miami Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children1;s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification, or currently studying.
• Experience in children1;s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card and willingness to obtain if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
