The Y Australia is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to join YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part-time basis. You’ll support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, help lead programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun and enriching care for children.

Qualifications

• Diploma or teaching qualification required or in progress.
• Experience with children's programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive environment and knowledge of NQF.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• A Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards)

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
