Job summary

Viva Leisure is seeking a Club Manager for Plus Fitness Rydalmere to lead the transition into a new facility. You will oversee day-to-day operations, champion member experience, and guide the team through the move while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

You will drive memberships, renewals, and fitness programming, balancing frontline leadership with hands-on involvement in personal training and group classes. A strong sales, service mindset and People leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
• Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand.
• Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational and formal operational skills.
• Ability to be a role model and live our Viva values, and behaviours while being passionate about our brands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drive new member sign-ups, manage renewals, and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure all members and guests receive high-quality service; handle complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standard of operational procedures. Manage administration, auditing and organisation of the club, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and fully operational.
• Ensure all activities, equipment, and facilities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Recruit, train, schedule and manage in club staff; ensure high team performance and morale.
• Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, community engagement events, and promotions to increase visibility and attract new members.
• Oversee the development and scheduling of fitness programs and classes, ensuring they meet member needs and industry trends.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of something new from dayone. Plus Fitness Rydalmere is moving into a brand-new facility(just down the road), complete with expanded retail and wellnessspace alongside the gym, and we're looking for a Club Manager tolead the gym through this transition.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, you'll take ownership of thegym space and be the face of Plus Fitness for our members. You'lllead the team through the move into the new site, making sure everymember, prospect and visitor has a positive experience. You'll lookafter gym standards, equipment safety and presentation, and drivemember satisfaction, growth and a vibrant club culture. You'll workclosely with the Facility Manager and the teams across retail andwellness so the whole facility feels connected. You'll also stayhands-on, getting involved in personal training and group fitnessto keep fitness at the heart of the club.

You'll thrive in this role if you're approachable, organised andpassionate about fitness, and you lead by example. You'recomfortable juggling shifting priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment, and you communicate well with your team, your membersand your Facility Manager.

SKILLS &QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:
