Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Potts Point finance team. The role supports day-to-day financial operations and offers a temp-to-permanent pathway for long-term opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will handle high-volume reconciliations, bank transactions, and month-end tasks while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant/Accounts Officer/Finance Officer position.
• Strong reconciliation experience across high-volume transactions.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Processing daily bank statements and banking transactions.
• Managing cash sales tills and reconciliations.
• Processing AMEX statements relating to registrations.
• Reconciling registration accounts.
• Processing CTP transactions.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconciling finance income and associated transactions.
• Assisting with month-end reporting and ad hoc finance duties.
• Supporting the broader finance function as required.

About the role:

About You
