Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a permanent full-time role based in Erina NSW 2250 with onsite parking. You will report to a nurturing Manager and handle daily bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, BAS, and month-end processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance/Commerce/Business and has experience with Oracle Netsuite or Xero. Onsite parking available; 5 days in the office with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance/Commerce/Business related field or equivalent qualifications.
• Proven experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Netsuite or Xero is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare BAS reporting and loan statements; assist in month-end close.
• Liaise with auditors and external consultants; maintain accurate records.
• Support asset register, depreciation, and capital planning tasks.
• Contribute to internal and external reporting and controls.

Job description

As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent full time basis. The role is based in Erina NSW 2250 with onsite parking provided.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting to a nurturing Manager; you are responsible for

• Daily bank reconciliation
• Intercompany reconciliations
• BAS reporting
• Preparation of loan statements
• Assist in month end reconciliations and reporting
• Liaison with auditors and external consultants
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide timely reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare and upload end of month accounting entries and adjustments, as part of end of month reporting process
• Assist in maintaining the asset register for the purposes of depreciation, asset management and capital planning in accordance with legislation, accountability frameworks and the organisation's objectives
• Participate in the annual internal and external auditing processes to ensure that appropriate systems are in place and maintained
• Implement controls and systems to ensure best financial practice is followed
• Assist in the processing of accounts payable to meet month end close time
• Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience in a similar role. You will also bring:

• Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/Commerce/Business related - equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Prior experience in Oracle Netsuite or XERO would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full work rights in Australia - AU/NZ citizenship or Permanent Residency preferably
• Permanent full time position
• Onsite parking provided
• $80,000 - $90,000 + Super (based on experience)
