Unisys is seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst to lead IT asset lifecycle activities within an ITIL and ServiceNow framework. You will drive governance, optimize asset costs, and align asset management with IT service management processes.

As a Senior Asset Management Analyst working within an ITIL and ServiceNow framework, you will be responsible for managing IT assets across their full lifecycle, supporting compliance and governance requirements, optimising asset-related costs, and ensuring asset and configuration management practices align with broader IT service management processes. This role requires strong ITIL knowledge, experience with ServiceNow and inventory management tools, and the ability to apply a strategic and practical approach to effective IT asset management.
Initiatives: Lead or participate in asset and configuration management initiatives, including system upgrades, process improvement activities, CMDB uplift, and other strategic projects.
Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certifications are preferred. Candidates with demonstrated hands-on experience and a strong working knowledge of ServiceNow will also be considered.
Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement through to disposal, ensuring asset details are accurately tracked and recorded in ServiceNow or other approved asset management systems.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring records are accurate, current, and managed efficiently.
Manage and maintain asset-related Service Catalogue entries in ServiceNow, ensuring services are accurately represented and aligned with business and operational requirements.
Ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) accurately reflects the current state of IT assets and their relationships through regular updates, validation, and governance activities.
Define, record, and maintain Configuration Items (CIs) and associated attributes within the CMDB, ensuring relevant information is complete, accurate, and accessible.
Ensure asset management practices comply with internal policies, licensing requirements, governance standards, and relevant external obligations.
Conduct regular audits and governance reviews to verify compliance with asset management policies and standards, identify discrepancies, and support timely remediation activities.
Analyse asset usage, performance, compliance, and utilisation data to provide actionable insights and recommendations that improve asset management practices and reporting outcomes.
Monitor and analyse the total cost of ownership for IT assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal costs, using ServiceNow or approved tools to support financial tracking and budget visibility.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities for IT asset expenditure, ensuring alignment with financial plans and resource allocation strategies.
Manage vendor and supplier relationships to support effective asset procurement, provisioning, contract management, and policy alignment.
Monitor compliance with vendor contracts and service level agreements, addressing issues related to asset provisioning, performance, or contractual obligations.
Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve incidents related to IT assets, ensuring issues are documented, analysed, and addressed in a timely manner.
Integrate asset and configuration management practices with ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Request Management, to support consistent and effective service delivery.
Identify and analyse recurring asset-related issues, supporting corrective actions that improve asset reliability and reduce repeat incidents.
Support the Change Management process by assessing the impact of proposed changes on IT assets, ensuring asset-related changes are documented and implemented with minimal disruption.
Maintain accurate records of changes to assets within ServiceNow, including updates to asset configurations, ownership, location, status, and relationships.
ITIL 4 Foundation
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certifications are preferred. Candidates with demonstrated hands-on experience and a strong working knowledge of ServiceNow will also be considered.
