Stanley Restaurant at Manly Wharf is seeking passionate Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team. Whether you’re starting out in the industry or looking to advance, this role offers hands-on learning from experienced chefs in a fast-paced hospitality group.

You will assist across sections, help with prep, maintain high food quality and safety standards, and work as part of an energetic team. We value collaboration, growth, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or commis chef.
• Genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with daily kitchen preparation and service.
• Prepare ingredients and assist across kitchen sections.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Keep your section clean, organised and well stocked.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS standards.
• Work as part of a collaborative and energetic kitchen team.
• Learn new techniques and develop culinary skills.
