Job summary

Randstad is seeking reliable Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members to join a Canberra-based road construction team. The role involves operating bitumen spray trucks, spreaders, and rollers, laying aggregate materials, and performing surface prep and cleanup at outdoor sites.

We require proven road spray sealing or asphalt experience, a valid licence (MR/HR/HC preferred), and a White Card with safety awareness. Expect 40+ hours weekly with overtime opportunities and competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in road spray sealing or asphalt operations.
• Valid Drivers Licence (MR, HR or HC Class preferred).
• White card and awareness of asbestos/ silica safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers.
• Lay and spread aggregate materials across road construction sites.
• Conduct surface prep, hand-spraying, and site cleanup while following safety plans.

Job Description

We are seeking reliable and experienced Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members . If you have hands-on experience with bituminous surface treatments and love working outdoors in a fast-paced team, we want to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operating and assisting with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers Laying, spreading, and raking aggregate materials across road construction sites

Surface preparation, hand-spraying, and site cleanup Performing daily pre-start safety checks and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment Adhering to site safety standards, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines

Requirements

Proven experience in road spray sealing or asphalt operations Valid Drivers Licence (MR, HR or HC Class preferred)

White card Asbestos Silica

Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work flexible outdoor hours Hours & Offer: 40+ hours per week with regular overtime opportunities

Competitive hourly rates $40-$45 PH + penalties and travel allowances Immediate start available for the right candidate
