Job summary

Randstad in Canberra, Australia is seeking reliable Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members to work outdoors in a fast-paced team environment. You will operate spray trucks, spreaders, and rollers, lay and spread aggregate, perform site preparation and cleanup, and maintain equipment.

A strong safety mindset is essential. Applicants should have proven spray sealing or asphalt experience, a valid licence, a white card, and willingness to work flexible hours with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in road spray sealing or asphalt operations.
• Valid Drivers Licence (MR, HR or HC Class preferred)
• White card
• Asbestos Silica
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work flexible outdoor hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers.
• Lay, spread, and rake aggregate materials across road construction sites.
• Perform surface preparation, hand-spraying, and site cleanup.
• Conduct daily pre-start safety checks and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to site safety standards, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines.

We are seeking reliable and experienced Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members . If you have hands-on experience with bituminous surface treatments and love working outdoors in a fast-paced team, we want to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operating and assisting with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers
• Laying, spreading, and raking aggregate materials across road construction sites
• Surface preparation, hand-spraying, and site cleanup
• Performing daily pre-start safety checks and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Adhering to site safety standards, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience in road spray sealing or asphalt operations

Hours & Offer:

• 40+ hours per week with regular overtime opportunities
• Competitive hourly rates $40-$45 PH + penalties and travel allowances
