Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking reliable and experienced Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members to join our outdoor road construction team in Canberra. You will operate bitumen spray trucks, spreaders, and rollers, and assist with rolling and surface preparation.

We require proven spray sealing or asphalt operations experience, a valid MR/HR/HC licence if possible, White Card, silica awareness, and a strong work ethic with flexible outdoor hours.

Responsibilities

• Operating and assisting with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers

• Performing daily pre-start safety checks and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Adhering to site safety standards, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines

Job description

We are seeking reliable and experienced Spray Seal Operators / Crew Members. If you have hands‑on experience with bituminous surface treatments and love working outdoors in a fast‑paced team, we want to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operating and assisting with bitumen spray trucks, aggregate spreaders, and rollers
• Laying, spreading, and raking aggregate materials across road construction sites
• Surface preparation, hand-spraying, and site cleanup
• Performing daily pre-start safety checks and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Adhering to site safety standards, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience in road spray sealing or asphalt operations
• Valid Drivers Licence (MR, HR or HC Class preferred)
• White card
• Silica
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work flexible outdoor hours
• 40+ hours per week with regular overtime opportunities
• Competitive hourly rates $40-$45 PH + penalties and travel allowances
• Immediate start available for the right candidate
