WorkPac is seeking a Mobile Plant Operator for roles in Rockhampton. The majority of the day is spent in the cab operating mobile plant, with manual tasks assisting labourers such as sweeping, raking and shovelling asphalt.
You will need a Drivers License, White Construction Card, Plant Operator Tickets, and VOCs for paving operations. Mon-Fri 10-12 hr days with competitive rates and access to benefits.

Majority of the workday is completed within the cabin of the vehicle. Duties involve a range of hand functions, forward reaching, steering, foot pedal operations and head next and upper body turning positions for observations. In addition to the mobile plant operation, operators are also required to assist the labourers with manual tasks such as sweeping, raking and shovelling asphalt.
Manual work is dependent on the nature of the project and skill mix on the crew and typically constitutes 5-10% of a workday. It can be as much as 60-70% of the workday if the crew is rich with plant operators. Mobile plant operators are exposed to whole body vibration and noise from machinery operation. They are also classified as working at height (up to 4 metres.)
They are exposed to radiant heat and odours from the hot asphalt and need to have capacity to wear respiratory protection if required.
