Job summary

WorkPac is seeking reliable asphalt labourers for major road construction and maintenance projects in Canberra and across the ACT. You will assist asphalt crews, rake, level, load tools, and support plant operators, contributing to safe, efficient paving operations.

Applicants should have experience in asphalt or road works, a Construction White Card, and a valid HR/HC licence. Willingness to travel and perform outdoors is essential; benefits include on-the-job training and job stability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in asphalt, civil, or road construction (highly regarded)
• Construction White Card (essential)
• Current HR/ HC Driver's Licence (essential)
• Relevant plant tickets such as Roller, Skid Steer, or similar (advantageous)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
• Reliable transport and willingness to travel across the ACT and South Coast region

What you will be doing:

Assisting asphalt crews with road construction and maintenance projects

Raking, levelling, and shovelling asphalt during paving operations

Supporting plant operators and working alongside experienced asphalt crews

Performing general labouring and site housekeeping duties

Assisting with traffic control and maintaining safe work zones

Loading, unloading, and handling tools, equipment, and materials

Following site safety procedures and contributing to a positive team environment

What you will need:
