Job summary

Zafa Contracting Pty Ltd is looking for experienced casual truck drivers to join our Elimbah-based team. You will drive locally and undertake some long-distance runs, transporting asphalt materials to job sites and supporting the paving crew.

We value reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. The role requires HR and driver licenses, plus a White Card, with an emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• HR license and valid driver’s license required.
• Construction Induction White Card mandatory.
• Ability to load/unload materials and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Transport asphalt materials to and from job sites.
• Operate heavy trucks safely and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading of asphalt products.
• Maintain communication with paving crew and team members.
• Ensure load is correctly placed and secured.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials according to job specs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Carry out daily and weekly vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Report any repairs or vehicle shortcomings.

Due to the continued success in securing projects,Zafa Contracting are now looking to increase our capacity to successfully deliver to our clients. We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced casual truck drivers to join our organisation.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving locally as well as some long-distance jobs.

• Transport asphalt materials to and from job sites.
• Operate heavy trucks safely an efficiently.
• Assist with the loading an unloading of asphalt products.
• Maintain communication with the paving crew and other team members.
• Make sure the load is correctly placed and secure.
• Ensure timely delivery of material's according to job specifications.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Carrying out the daily and weekly inspections and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Report all repairs required and/or shortcomings in the performance of the vehicle.
• Undertake the safe operation of the assigned vehicle within the limits of the manufacture’s specifications.
