Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of in-depth knowledge of construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans; strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders at a high level.
• Ensure timely completion of works while meeting industry standards.
• Inform and ensure staff and subcontractors understand risk assessments.
• Implement variations to scope of works as instructed.
• Manage performance of staff and subcontractors onsite and identify training needs.
• Demonstrate leadership and promote health and wellbeing.

Due to the continued success in securing projects,Zafa Contracting are now looking to increase our capacity to successfully deliver to our clients. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Asphalt Foreman to join our organisation.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• The Crew Foreman has a high-level engagement with all relevant internal and external stakeholders; and works in collaboration with co-workers across the business, where required.
• Ensuring completion of works within a timely manner whilst meeting industry standards.
• Meet operational standards by ensuring all staff and subcontractors are informed, understand and compliant with all risk assessments
• Implement variations or changes to scope of works as instructed
• Manage performance of Staff and Subcontractors onsite and record any improvements or training requirements
• Demonstrate leadership and support employee health and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all company policies and procedures
• Min 5 years on the job asphalt experience
• Certificate III in Civil Construction desirable but not essential
• Certificate IIII in Supervision desirable but not essential
• Min 3 years in-depth knowledge of construction
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
• A high level of demonstrated organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to problem solve and manage conflict in the workplace.
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively.
• Intermediate Mathematical skills
