Job summary

SEKO Logistics Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance and accounting team by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and preparing reports. The role assists with month-end and year-end activities and supports the Accounts Supervisor in managing Accounts Receivable.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth understanding of bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations.
• Excellent math skills with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Desire to obtain CA/CPA accreditation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end Accounts Receivable management.
• Gather and monitor financial data (sales revenues and liabilities).
• Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly close processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• GST reconciliation and lodgement of statements.
• Post monthly journals and depreciation schedules.
• Support external audit tasks.
