seek.com.au invites applications for an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in the CBD of Sydney. This full-time role centers on daily bank reconciliations, expense reimbursements, and accounts payable, with duties spanning journal posting, routine reporting, and month-end close.

You will support HO reporting, manage fixed assets, and coordinate procurement-related activities. The ideal candidate has accounting training and up to 3 years’ experience, with strong Excel and teamwork

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications major in Accounting with 1-3 year’s accounting working experience.
• Advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication skill and time management skill.
• Attention to detail.
• Have a strong team work ethic with active attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing daily bank reconciliation and investigate variances.
• Processing expense reimbursements in system and management of expense invoices.
• Monitoring the expense progress to ensure it is aligned with the budget.
• Processing accounts payable.
• Preparing manual journal and inputting in system.
• Preparing daily B/S and PL accounting report and investigate the significant daily movement.
• Maintaining fixed assets register and stocktaking.
• Acting as procurement and financial review meeting secretary to collect meeting material, prepare meeting agenda and meeting minutes, etc.
• Organizing the peers’ data collection and files.
• Assisting with HO reporting.
• Assisting month end accounting report and reconciliations.
• Assisting the outsourcing management.
• Ad hoc tasks
