Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS6 Planner to join the Safeguarding Advisory Team in a Federal Government environment. Based in Parramatta or Wollongong, you will assess complex safeguarding matters, provide risk assessments and specialist advice for participants.

This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, a pay rate of $61.86 per hour with casual loading and 12% superannuation, and a January 11, 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing complex and sensitive information and identifying key risks.
• Ability to develop evidence-based safeguarding advice and recommendations.
• Excellent written communication skills for reports and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex participant situations and identify risks.
• Develop evidence-based safeguarding advice for complex matters.
• Provide clear written and verbal advice to stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions on safeguarding issues with stakeholders.
• Liaise with government agencies and service providers.
• Manage urgent safeguarding interventions within a case management framework.
• Contribute to quality improvement and procedures.
• Support and mentor colleagues to enhance service delivery.
