Job summary

Talent International is recruiting for an APS6 Planner to support a Federal Government client in Parramatta. The position is a 12-month contract with potential extension.

The role offers a rate of $61.86 per hour plus Super, with 7.6 hours per day (38 hours per week). This is a demanding role requiring safeguarding expertise and the ability to work under legislative and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess complex and sensitive information, identify key risks and develop evidence-based safeguarding advice and recommendations.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise and well-reasoned advice.
• Sound judgement and the ability to develop recommendations within legislative, policy and procedural frameworks.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and varied tasks while delivering quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Gather and assess information to identify risks associated with complex and sensitive participant circumstances.
• Facilitate discussions to provide support and guidance on complex safeguarding issues.
• Provide clear written and verbal safeguarding advice to address complex problems.
• Guide staff on available supports, options, education and pathways for participants requiring safeguarding interventions.
• Work directly with participants requiring urgent and short-term safeguarding interventions under a case management model.
• Exercise initiative and sound judgement to interpret and apply legislation, policies, practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute specialised knowledge within your areas of expertise.
• Coach and mentor staff, supporting the monitoring of team capacity and workflow.
• Contribute to and lead quality improvement activities to strengthen service delivery practices, processes and systems.
