Job summary

Hastings Deering in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, is seeking an experienced Apprentice and Learning Advisor to coordinate and support the learning journey of apprentices, monitor progress, liaise with supervisors and training staff, and foster a positive learning culture in a permanent, full-time role.

You will also manage non-RTO learning across sites, schedule and facilitate training, coordinate work experience placements and events, and act as the first point of contact for apprentice engagement

Qualifications

• Experience in coordination/administration or apprentice support.
• Understanding of the VET system and RTO compliance desirable.
• Qualifications in education, HR, or trade advantageous.
• Ability to adapt communication style.
• Lead training projects that drive transformation across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating apprentice onboarding, rosters, uniforms, and training schedules.
• Organising quarterly catch-ups, graduations, and other apprentice events.
• Tracking apprentice progress, training records, and compliance with RTO requirements.
• Partnering with Managers, RTOs, and the Training team to ensure smooth delivery of learning and development.
• Supporting internal and external learning on-site, including scheduling, room bookings, materials, and trainer coordination.
• Acting as the first point of contact for apprentice engagement, communication, and ongoing support.
• Coordinating student work experience placements, including compliance, risk assessments, agreements, and onboarding processes.
