Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Apprentice and Learning Advisor to support apprentices in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. You will coordinate onboarding, rosters, and training schedules while liaising with supervisors and staff to foster a positive learning culture.

You will also manage non-RTO learning, arrange internal and external training for the region, and track progress, records, and compliance with RTO requirements, ensuring smooth delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordination, administration or apprentice support roles.
• Understanding of the VET system and RTO compliance desirable.
• Qualifications in education, HR or trade advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate apprentice onboarding, rosters and training schedules.
• Organise apprentice events and track progress and compliance.
• Partner with Managers, RTOs and training teams to ensure delivery of learning.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external learning on-site.
• Serve as first point of contact for apprentice engagement and support.

We’re looking for an experienced Apprentice and Learning Advisor to join our Learning and Capability team in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane on a permanent, full-time basis. As an Apprentice and Learning Advisor you will coordinate and support the learning journey of apprentices, providing support, monitoring progress, liaising with supervisors and training staff, and fostering a positive learning culture. This role is also responsible for non-RTO Learning in the scheduling and facilitation of all Internal and external Training for the region’s sites as guided by the Training Needs Analysis in the Training Management System. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine coordination skills with genuine people support, making a real difference in the development journey of our apprentices.

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinating apprentice onboarding, rosters, uniforms, and training schedules
• Organising quarterly catch-ups, graduations, and other key apprentice events
• Tracking apprentice progress, training records, and compliance with RTO requirements
• Partnering with Managers, RTOs, and our Training team to ensure smooth delivery of learning and development
• Supporting internal and external learning on-site, including scheduling, room bookings, materials, and trainer coordination
• Acting as the first point of contact for apprentice engagement, communication, and ongoing support
• Coordinating student work experience placements, including the management of compliance requirements, risk assessments, placement agreements, and participant onboarding processes

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a coordination, administration or apprentice support role (preferred).
• Understanding of the VET system and RTO compliance desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in education, HR, or trade (advantageous).
• Ability to adapt communication style.
• Lead key training projects that drive strategic transformation across the organisation.
