Evolution Mining is offering two Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Fitter positions at Northparkes Operations. The four‑year Apprenticeship Program provides hands‑on maintenance training on heavy mobile equipment, with a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation.

The roster is 7 days on / 7 days off (dayshift), and you will support servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance across underground and surface operations while completing TAFE training and meeting

Qualifications

• You have completed or are completing Year 12.
• You hold a current Driver’s Licence.
• You are mechanically minded and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with servicing and repairing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant air conditioning systems.
• Learning to diagnose faults in mobile mining equipment.
• Supporting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards.
• Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements.
• Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards.
• Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values.

What’s the opportunity?

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands‑on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.
