Job summary

Evolution Mining Northparkes Operations is offering a four-year Apprenticeship Program focused on hands-on training and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. You’ll receive tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required as part of the program.

The roster is 7 days on / 7 days off (Dayshift only). You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the Light Mobile Equipment Fleet through routine maintenance and

• Assist LV Mechanics with tasks from your studies and training.
• Carry out maintenance activities safely, professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain health, safety and security standards in the workplace.
• Attend TAFE and complete required formal training.
• Demonstrate Evolution Mining values in daily work.

What’s the opportunity?

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands‑on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of Northparkes’ Light Mobile Equipment Fleet (LME) through routine maintenance and quarterly inspections.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the LME workshop and its equipment is maintained in guide with the site’s high level of housekeeping
• Assist LV Mechanics with skills learnt through your studies and role-based training
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, professional and efficient manner
• Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
• Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
• Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
• Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values
