Job summary

Evolution Mining Northparkes is seeking an apprentice Boilermaker to support maintenance, fabrication and repair of fixed plant and mining equipment. The role includes on-the-job training, TAFE study and relevant site safety responsibilities.

You will be part of a four-year apprenticeship with hands-on experience, a structured development plan, and support to gain a nationally accredited trade certificate. Attractive rosters and a pathway to a rewarding career in mining are offered.

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion is required.
• Must hold a current Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely and communicate clearly in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with maintenance, repair and fabrication of mining equipment.
• Develop trade skills through on-the-job training and formal TAFE training.
• Maintain health, safety and security standards within the workplace.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards.
• Attend TAFE courses and complete required training.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values.

What’s the opportunity?

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

The roster is 5/2/4/3 (Dayshift only)

You will be responsible for assisting qualified boilermakers and tradespeople with the fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation of fixed plant and mining equipment.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with the maintenance, repair and fabrication of mining equipment
• Develop trade skills through on-the-job training, teamwork and practical experience.
• Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
• Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
• Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
• Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values
