Job summary

Evolution Mining invites applicants to join a four-year Apprenticeship Program at Northparkes Operations. You’ll gain hands‑on training from experienced tradespeople, work on fixed plant and mining equipment, and earn a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation.

The program includes TAFE study, required tools, accommodation support if needed, and a 5/2/4/3 dayshift roster.

Qualifications

• Mechnically minded with commitment to safety.
• Completed or completing Year 12 and hold a current Driver’s Licence.
• Eager to learn, work safely and contribute to a team.
• Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with maintenance, repair and fabrication of mining equipment.
• Develop trade skills through on‑the‑job training, teamwork and practical experience.
• Maintain health, safety, and security standards and identify risks.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards.
• Attend TAFE and complete formal training requirements.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values.

What’s the opportunity?

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands‑on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

The roster is 5/2/4/3 (Dayshift only)

You will be responsible for assisting qualified boilermakers and tradespeople with the fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation of fixed plant and mining equipment.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with the maintenance, repair and fabrication of mining equipment
• Develop trade skills through on‑the‑job training, teamwork and practical experience.
• Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
• Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
• Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
