Job summary

A.B Precision Mechanical Coomera is seeking a fully qualified Automotive Technician / Mechanic, or a 3rd year apprentice, to join our workshop team. This full-time, on-site role covers servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models, including Japanese and European vehicles.

We offer wages based on experience, with support to complete your apprenticeship if you are currently 3rd year, and opportunities for professional growth within a hands-on

Qualifications

• Must have experience or be currently in Stage 3 of a recognised light vehicle apprenticeship.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding using diagnostic tools.
• Complete brake, suspension and steering repairs.
• Carry out logbook servicing to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist with roadworthy inspections in Queensland.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop and accurate records.

Apprentice / Fully Qualified Automotive Mechanic

A.B Precision Mechanical Coomera is seeking a fully qualified Automotive Technician / Mechanic, or a 3rd year apprentice, to join our workshop team. This is a full-time, on-site role covering servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models, including Japanese and European vehicles.

About us

A.B Precision Mechanical is an independent automotive workshop based in Coomera. We provide vehicle maintenance and repair services ranging from routine servicing to advanced diagnostics, with a focus on accurate workmanship, clear communication and a safe, organised workshop.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out general servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding using modern diagnostic tools
• Complete brake, suspension and steering repairs
• Complete logbook servicing to manufacturer specifications
• Assist with Queensland roadworthy inspections
• Carry out tyre, battery and related workshop work as required
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Complete accurate job documentation
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

For 3rd year apprentices:

• Currently in Stage 3 / 3rd year of a recognised light vehicle mechanical apprenticeship
• Ability to complete servicing and common repairs with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and a professional work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Own basic hand tools

For fully qualified mechanics:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Proven workshop experience across a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
