Job summary

Ultimate Offroad in Ferntree Gully is seeking talented Service Technicians and 4th-year apprentices to join our busy workshop. You will perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on diesel and petrol engines, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety.

The role offers above-award wages, a supportive team, on-site parking and opportunities for long-term employment within a leading off-road modification company.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mechanical Trade or currently completing an apprenticeship.
• Current Manual Victorian Drivers license – mandatory.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience with Diesel & Petrol engines.
• Must have own tools.
• Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.
• Able to work unsupervised and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on diesel and petrol engines.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Perform diagnostics using manufacturer-approved tools and systems.
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer standards.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying additional repair opportunities.
• Ensure all work is completed within allocated timeframes.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

About The Role

Due to the Company's growth, we are looking for talented and experienced Service Technicians and 4th year apprentices to join our growing team in Ferntree Gully. We will be looking for enthusiasm, solid work ethics, and attention to detail with a focus on delivering work to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities

Requirements for this position

• Certificate III in Mechanical Trade qualification is required or completing a Certificate III in Mechanical Trade qualification for apprentices.
• Have acute attention to detail and take pride in your workmanship.
• Current Manual Victorian Drivers license - mandatory
• Minimum of 2+ years experience with Diesel & Petrol engines.
• Must be passionate about the industry with a genuine interest in motor mechanics.
• Be a problem solver, reliable & able to meet deadlines.
• Must have own tools.
• Clear communicator with excellent organisational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work unsupervised, and in a team.
• Roadworthy certified an advantage
• Air Conditioning certification an advantage
