Job summary

Coastbay Auto Service Centre on the Gold Coast is seeking a motivated 1st or 2nd Year Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic Apprentice to join the workshop in Ashmore. This full-time role offers hands-on experience while progressing toward your Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic qualification.

You will work under supervision, assisting with servicing, diagnostics and repairs, learning from experienced mechanics in a clean, professional workshop environment.

Qualifications

• A 1st or 2nd Year Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic Apprentice.
• Learn and develop new mechanical skills through hands-on training.
• Complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.

• Assist qualified mechanics with servicing, repairs and vehicle maintenance.
• Carry out routine servicing, including oil, filters, brakes and basic inspections.
• Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Remove and replace vehicle components under supervision.
• Assist with brake, suspension, steering and cooling-system repairs.
• Use hand tools, workshop equipment and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and report faults to senior mechanics.

About the Position

Coastbay Auto Service Centre is looking for a motivated and reliable 1st or 2nd Year Motor Mechanic Apprentice to join our workshop team in Ashmore.

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice who is keen to develop their mechanical skills, gain practical workshop experience and continue progressing toward their qualification as a Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic.
